American Standard Circuits Attains UL Approval for Isola's I-Tera Laminate and Prepreg Family

May 6, 2015

American Standard Circuits, a leading manufacturer of quality rigid, metal-backed, flex, and rigid-flex printed circuit board, had obtained UL approval for the I-Tera laminate and prepreg family, which includes I-Tera MT, a very low-loss laminate engineered for high-speed digital applications made by Isola.

"I-Tera MT is a new product from Isola that offers lower dielectric constants and lower dielectric loss than similarly positioned competitors," commented Anaya Vardya, CEO of American Circuits. "It is very suitable for many of today’s high speed digital and RF/microwave printed circuit designs. As industry demands continue to become more demanding, this laminate is desirable to OEMs who need these impressive specifications."

"Our goal at American Standard is to provide our customers with the latest technology in high performance printed circuit boards. Getting this particular UL approval represents a significant step in that direction," Vardya added. "The I-Tera material is a material that supports high speed requirements.  It has also been shown to have excellent thermal robustness with very low loss."

The significance of obtaining UL approval was underscored by Isola, manufacturer of I-Tera MT.

"The UL qualification for I-Tera MT obtained by American Standard Circuits is strategic for Isola and its efforts in the RF Microwave and Military market segments. We are looking forward to working with American Standard on new programs and designs utilizing this material," Rich Pangier senior OEM marketing director, commented. "The flexibility in the core and prepreg product offering will be a benefit for these applications."

Isola’s I-Tera MT and other Isola laminates are distributed by Insulectro from its ten stocking locations across the United States.
