When it comes to RF/Microwave PCBs, the ASC team is leading the way. We have been involved in manufacturing and perfecting this technology for twenty years and during that time have become truly adept at not only providing our customers with the right RF solutions but have also filled a role as their personal RF experts.

We have worked with numerous companies helping them to design and manufacture the best RF/Microwave PCBs possible and partner with all suppliers of dielectric materials from Isola, Nelco, Rogers, and Taconic, providing a wide selection of materials to fit every one of their needs.

Our extensive experience and technical expertise in the manufacturing of time-critical, high technology RF circuits has allowed us to deliver prototype-to-high volume boards to customers all over the world.

We also provide heat sinks

Heat sinks and PCBs are typically connected thermally and electrically. The metal heat sink helps with thermal dissipation and grounding of the circuits. ASC uses commercially available pre-bonded and post-bonded materials. Pre-bonded laminates are typically supplied by Rogers or Taconic, while post-bonding is done via commercially available sheet film adhesive materials, ASC’s patented sheet film adhesives, or sweat solder.

John Bushie - RF/ Microwave Expert  

John is ASC's Technology Director. He's been with ASC since 2011 and has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.
John is known for being a problem solver for RF / Microwave PCB applications including projects that require the superior thermal management and grounding capabilities that metal-backed PCBs can provide.
Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous process improvement are among John's varied interests in the field.

Vias are critical to PCB functionality as the conduit for transferring signals between layers. Vias can remain open, tented over with soldermask or filled solid with either non-conductive or conductive material.

Conductively filled vias add capacity to the design, and using copper to fill the vias adds some benefits that other conductive material does not, including thermal and electrical conductivity. The high thermal conductivity of copper-filled vias provides an advantage in high heat applications and the added electrical conductivity provides superior current-carrying capability in high voltage applications.
